Citizen Advocacy's annual fundraiser Evening in the Maritimes is back to celebrate its 17th year!
Ottawa's premiere gala fundraising event features a 5-course lobster dinner modeled after the world-renowned Maritime lobster suppers. Fresh North Atlantic lobster, mouth-watering seafood chowder, delicious salads and desserts make up the menu. East Coast musical entertainment by Vishtèn creates the atmosphere of a maritime kitchen party. A silent auction featuring extravagant jewellery, appliances, artwork, unique gift baskets, travel, sporting goods, and other unique items raises funds for Citizen Advocacy. An exclusive balloon raffle, with all balloons popped in unison, sees guests win prizes such as $1,000 cash, trips to Nova Scotia, and hot air balloon rides. Honorary Chairs Dennis Jackson (Vice-President Scotiabank) and Chief Vern White (Chief of the Ottawa Police Service) welcome guests, Kurt Stoodley from /A\ Morning, Sandy Sharkey from BOB FM, and CTV's Michael O'Byrne host the evening.
