Meet Simon. Simon has schizophrenia. When Simon first came to Citizen Advocacy he was not even sure he could go through with the matching process. But thanks to the support system at Citizen Advocacy, Simon was able to meet his match Fern. Now Fern and Simon have been meeting for lunches and other outings like going to the war museum and local hockey games.
One year later, Simon’s shyness has melted away and he is confident enough to go to job interviews and is enrolled in a program to improve his life skills. This relationship and the improvements in Simon’s life have been made possible because of Citizen Advocacy.
