Caregiver Retreat Fall 2016

We are postponing our Caregiver Retreat!

Caregiver Mental Health: Pathways to Wellness

Postponed: April 25th and 26th, 2020 – Check Back for New Dates

COVID-19 Information

We understand that you as caregivers have concerns about the current situation around the world, including Ottawa, relating to COVID-19. Our top priority is the health and safety of our attendees, volunteers, staff and the community at large. To date, Ottawa has remained a low risk for COVID-19, however we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the retreat.

As part of our planning, and to be proactive, we are monitoring the Ottawa Public Health website Exit disclaimerProvince of Ontario’s website Exit disclaimer and the government of Canada’s public health website Exit disclaimer and putting in to practice their recommendations. We are also in regular contact with the hotel to learn about the safeguards they are putting in place.  In addition, we ask that everyone make themselves familiar with tips and resources on how best to prevent the spread of germs Exit disclaimer.

We are notifying everyone affected directly by email.

Relax, learn and connect in a five-star Hotel & Spa. This two-day retreat will help you feel revitalized and pampered, while you connect and join other like-minded people with shared experiences.

Develop alternative ideas about the future, listen to knowledgeable presenters from North America, and attend informative breakout sessions.  Rest and rejuvenate over two days with great meals, music and amenities, all while having the chance to connect with others who share common visions and goals.

We invite you to join with other caregivers, families and individuals who are looking for opportunities to connect in an inclusive space where you can gain new information and network, while also having the time to relax, rejuvenate and feel revitalized.

The retreat will celebrate the resilience that caregivers share, introduce them to new tools and ways of thinking, demonstrate the importance of connection, and will leave caregivers feeling positive about their role. The goal of the day will be to decrease caregiver stress, provide tools and strategies to assist caregivers in managing their own mental wellness, and provide informative, relaxing and interactive sessions.

This is the largest caregiver retreat and conference in Ontario.  Last year we had nearly 200 in-person attendees and 2000+ virtual viewers. This year we expect to continue to grow, so register today to secure your spot. We hope that this opportunity will give you a chance to take a much-deserved break from your busy lives, to relax and share your experience with other caregivers and family members.
