Our Caregiver Retreats are back!

Relax, Learn and Connect in a five-star Hotel & Spa. This two-day retreat will help you feel part of a larger movement. Think differently about your future, attend amazing breakout sessions, panels and world class Canadian presenters. Rejuvenate over two days with great meals, music, and amenities.

The conference is aimed at Parents, Siblings, Family Members and Caregivers of a loved one with a developmental disability.

Keynote Speakers

Al Etmanski and Vickie Cammack; Order of Canada recipients, authors of Safe and Secure, led the campaign to establish the RDSP, co–founders of PLAN Vancouver and parents.

Susan Beayni; Co-founder of Partners for Planning in Toronto, a leader in the disability sector for the past 25 years, and parent.

Gail Dawson MSW; as a compassion fatigue educator she creates a safe environment for others to explore their own risk of compassion fatigue and develop tools to protect themselves and remain resilient and fulfilled as caregivers.

Stephanie King; a teacher at the Ottawa Carleton School Board and Vice President of Family Matters Coop. Stephanie specializes in Transition planning and educating families for the future.

Parent Panel; listen as fellow caregivers share their experiences, demonstrating that caregivers have much in common and share many of the same challenges and need not be isolated.

Citizen Advocacy will provide breakout sessions in both French and English on planning for the future of you and your loved one.

Both days will include a chance to Learn, Relax, and Connect while enjoying great meals, music and amenities.
