MOMMY MOCKTAILS

What is Mommy Mocktails?

Mommy Mocktails is a signature event in support of Citizen Advocacy’s Fetal Alcohol Resource Program, where local restaurants participate in the nine-day fundraiser from Sept 9th to the 17th by serving mocktails. Proceeds of sales and donations will go towards increasing awareness of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, education and community navigation for individuals living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

What is FASD?

FASD or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder is a medical diagnosis that describes the range of effects that can occur when a developing baby is exposed to alcohol, such as an array of complex neurodevelopmental disorders, lifelong physical complications, mental and behavioural difficulties, and/or learning challenges.  It is estimated that 2-5% are affected in the general population.
